Budgeteer Pro exists because most budgeting apps optimize for dashboards, not accuracy. We optimize for the number being right — and for two people being able to trust it together.
Why we built it
Budgeteer Pro was founded by a practicing CPA who kept watching the same thing happen: households with real income and real discipline still couldn't answer basic questions about their own money. Not because they weren't trying — because their tools rounded away the truth. Balances that didn't reconcile, transfers double-counted as spending, an annual insurance bill read as a budget blowout.
So we built the tool the way an accountant would: every number traceable to a transaction, transfers matched and excluded from spending, recurring bills detected and tracked, lumpy annual costs smoothed into monthly reserves, and a monthly close that tells you the books actually tie.
What we believe
- Accuracy over vibes. A budget you can't reconcile is a mood board. Every figure in Budgeteer Pro ties back to transactions you can inspect.
- Households are the unit. Money is shared — and partly private. Shared accounts are visible to both of you; private accounts stay genuinely private, everywhere.
- The app works for you, not on you. No ads, no data brokers, no selling your information. Read-only bank access. The business model is the subscription, full stop.
- Honest automation. Detection proposes; you approve. Budgets derive from your real history and never overwrite a number you set by hand.
