Your money.
One month. A clearer plan.

See how accounts, everyday spending, and future goals fit together. Follow a fictional household through the real app, from setting a budget to closing the month. Budget solo or share the plan.

No sign-in needed to explore. Real web screenshots, fictional accounts and transactions.

Start with budget remaining, then check spending pace and upcoming bills. Budget remaining describes your plan; your bank balance is a separate number.

01 / Plan

See your budget remaining and how spending is pacing.

02 / Anticipate

Check upcoming bills before making the next spending decision.

03 / Understand

Follow category totals back to the purchases behind them.

01 / Accounts & sharing

Bring your money into one view.

Start on your own or invite your household. Add accounts manually, import a CSV on the web, or connect a supported U.S. bank with Premium. Open any account to follow its balance and transaction history.

  • Keep checking, savings, credit cards, and loans together, with balances and net worth in view.
  • Choose shared or private accounts. Household members see shared activity; private accounts stay out of their views, totals, and exports.
  • Invite and manage members from Profile. Sharing is optional, so a personal budget works here too.
See the whole balance picture, then open an account to inspect the transactions behind it.

In this household

In this demo, Meadow Checking covers everyday spending, Meadow Savings holds reserves, and Orbit Rewards tracks the credit card balance.

02 / Categories & budgets

Give the month a plan you can keep.

Set category budgets yourself or review a proposed budget based on your spending history. Organize categories into groups and see actual spending against each plan.

  • Budgets carry into the next month automatically, including shared and personal amounts.
  • Review suggested adjustments when spending changes. Amounts you set by hand stay yours; suggestions do not silently overwrite them.
  • Choose rollover rules for surplus or overspending, and see the part of a category already committed to recurring bills.
The category rows connect what you planned, what you spent, and what is already committed.

In this household

Set Fuel & Charging to $160. After a $19.20 fill-up, compare spending with that plan. Next month starts with your budget already in place.

03 / Transactions & Review

Spend less time sorting transactions.

Find a purchase in Transactions; handle uncertain categories, transfer suggestions, and recurring detections in Review. Rules help familiar transactions find the right category automatically.

  • Add and edit transactions, split a purchase across categories, and use tags, search, and filters to find it later.
  • Confirm or correct items that need attention and spot-check auto-filed activity. Some transactions are handled automatically; every row does not need manual approval.
  • Match transfers so moving money between your accounts does not inflate spending. Manage categorization rules from Review.
Search and category labels make individual purchases easy to trace.

In this household

Find the $78 Clover Basket Market purchase, check its Groceries category, and use a rule for future visits. Moving money to savings is a transfer, not another grocery expense.

04 / Recurring bills

Know what is coming before it lands.

Bring repeating paychecks, bills, and subscriptions into one place. Review detected patterns, then track expected amounts, schedules, and monthly costs.

  • See upcoming dates and the monthly equivalent of recurring commitments, including less frequent bills.
  • Correct a series’ category so future charges land consistently. Your edits to its amount or schedule take precedence over detection.
  • Notice subscription price changes and reserve for annual bills instead of treating them as a surprise every year.
Expected dates and monthly totals put small subscriptions and larger bills in the same picture.

In this household

Storynest Streaming costs $45 a month. It appears alongside bills such as the $70 internet payment, so subscriptions are part of the plan.

05 / Cash Flow & Analytics

See where the money goes. And what comes next.

Use the Dashboard for today’s budget pace, Cash Flow for money in and out, and Analytics for category trends and comparisons. Each view answers a different question.

  • Cash Flow shows income, spending, and what you kept, alongside a projection based on recurring activity and typical spending.
  • Switch historical ranges and follow category breakdowns into transaction history. Estimates change as your data changes.
  • Analytics compares actual spending with your budget and prior periods, so you can see which categories deserve attention.
The top panel follows the current month. The history below uses the selected range; this capture shows the last four weeks.

In this household

In August, this household earned $6,512.45 and spent $4,688.50, keeping $1,823.95. Analytics adds context: spending finished $591.50 under the $5,280 budget.

06 / Savings & debt

Make room for what you want next.

Give savings a target and debt a payoff plan. Track progress alongside your everyday budget, with shared or personal savings goals and clear debt balances.

  • Set a savings target and optional date, record contributions, and see how much is left to fund.
  • Track debt balances, rates, and minimum payments. Compare highest-interest-first (avalanche) with smallest-balance-first (snowball).
  • Explore how extra payments affect estimated interest and the payoff date. Projections depend on the amounts and rates in your plan.
Goal progress turns a large target into a visible amount still to save.

In this household

The demo emergency fund has $7,500 toward $10,000: 75% funded, with $2,500 to go. The Debt view separately shows how an extra monthly payment changes the card payoff estimate.

07 / Monthly Close

Finish the month with numbers you trust.

Once a month has ended, Review walks you through closing it. Start with the earliest open month, resolve the remaining items, and reconcile account balances against your statements.

  • Check transfers, categories, auto-filed activity, recurring patterns, and set-asides before reconciling accounts.
  • Seal a completed month to make it read-only. If a correction is needed, use the reopen flow before changing its records.
  • Keep working on the current month while completing earlier months. A month still in progress is not ready to close.
The close shows exactly what remains. Here, each account needs reconciliation before the month can lock.

In this household

This household is budgeting for September while closing August. Five checks are complete; the three account balances still need reconciliation before August can be sealed.
