Cash flow

Money in, money out, and how long your cash actually lasts.

Try it step by step

These steps describe the web app. iPhone controls may differ.

  1. Read This Month for current checking, safe-to-spend, and projected figures.
  2. Check expected income and bills in Recurring when a projection looks wrong.
  3. Use the history range selector to compare money in, money out, and money kept over earlier periods.
  4. Open transaction and account details to investigate an unusual month before drawing conclusions.

Worked example

A paycheck expected next week can improve a projection without increasing today’s bank balance. A bill due before that paycheck still matters for your immediate cash needs.

Check before you continue

The range control changes history; the current-month estimate stays focused on now. Projections depend on recorded balances and expected activity and are not guaranteed funds.

The top panel follows the current month. The history below uses the selected range; this capture shows the last four weeks.

Income and spending over time

Bars and trends across selectable ranges show the shape of your months — including the net line that matters most.

Checking, safe-to-spend, and projected cash

Checking today is based on recorded checking balances. Safe-to-spend estimates headroom after expected commitments and other planned needs. Projected cash estimates where the period may finish using expected income, bills, and spending assumptions. None is a guarantee of your bank’s available balance. Fix missing or stale account activity and recurring schedules before relying on the forecast.
